You'll be tempted to GF spam for most of the game, but avoid this. It's not really that good and a lot of your spells are probably Junctioned to your stats. In combat, don't really use magic aside from support. Aura gives you a buff that allows you to use Limit Breaks without being in critical HP, and Meltdown applies the Vit-0 status on enemies (Yes, it actually reduces the enemy's defense to 0 and every enemy in the game is susceptible to it including Omega Weapon and the final boss). Most important thing, always check what an enemy has available to Draw. If you dont draw them you dont get a second Chance until CD 4. More important is that there are many GFs that you draw from some Boss enemys. There are good and/or rare spells sometimes.

    PS: Always look what you can draw from new enemys. Otherwise there are a few Points from CD2 on where you have DPS checks in Boss battles, meaning that they CAN get tough if you havent cared about junction till then. But you should at least try to understand the junction System at some Point. If you want to draw some Magic 300x or Play a lot Cards then it can take time, yes. My only advise would be to have fun and enjoy the game raw :) Also it isnt very grindy at all if I compare it with other ff games. But for me it just takes a lot of fun from the game if you avoid battles just because you try to not Level up at all.Ī lot People arent liking the junction System, but I never understood that.

    I still love it, but as soon as you know about to break the battle and card system then it gets a bit grindy first and makes a lot of the Boss fights way too easy too enjoy them.Įnemys are leveling with your Party, so if you get stronger, they will too. First playthrough I had was the most fun for me. People just say it all the time about ff8 because in this game you can do it pretty early and without much grinding). Just dont use guides or you will probably break the game and dont have nearly as much fun ("Break" in Terms like,you can get pretty OP very soon in the game.
